I'm a freelance consultant and coach. I support positive change in human rights, advocacy, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
I qualified as a social worker and have worked in the health and social care charity sector for over 30 years. I'm a qualified coach and also an Independent Advocate.
I have a particular interest in health and social care inequalities having developed specific Independent Advocacy services for BAME and LGBTQ+ communities.
I am a Churchill Fellow and travelled to Australia and Canada to bring back best practice around LGBTQIA+ cultural competency.
As a coach, I'm passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and ambitions. I focus on being by your side, questioning and challenging you to explore and act on positive change, using a strength-based approach.
I believe coaching is a powerful way to identify and break down barriers to reaching your potential. I’m interested in exploring how experiences of discrimination and inequality impact on our lives.
People tell me that I’m down to earth, enabling, approachable, challenging, and kind - I aspire to be creative, open minded and to make a difference.
TESTIMONIALS
Sarah
Anita Wan (Business Consultant and Charity Chair)
"Jacqui is incredibly personable and easy to talk to. She is empathetic and open which enabled me to talk openly and honestly during our coaching conversations. She provided me with many effective tools and resources which have been useful to me following the completion of our sessions. I thoroughly recommend her as a coach!

"I signed up for coaching not really knowing what I was hoping to achieve. What an amazing experience it was to have Jacqui as my coach. I came away thinking everyone needs a Jacqui in their life! She helped me to form more solid ideas, really drawing out of me how I could move forward with my charity. Her vast knowledge and recommendations on the local support I could utilise was outstanding.
Thank you so much."
Mark Kennedy CEO Circle Scotland
As a newly appointed CEO Jacqui really helped me to understand how the job should be approached, what was expected of me in the role and what I should expect of myself. It is fair to say that the role, at the time, was causing me a lot of professional anxiety and she also helped me to contextualize and manage this, while also helping me to think through strategies for particular problems."
